He told all his fans making the trip to Michigan for the Ohio St./Michigan game, to make sure to buy their gas in Ohio and not in Michigan. At the end of the game with his team up 21 and only 1 minute left to play he went ahead and had his team score a touchdown. Yes a touchdown up by 21 with 1 minute left in the game. But thats not it, HE WENT FOR 2 POINTS AFTER THE TOUCHDOWN!
When asked why he went for 2 at the end of the game, Woody Hayes replyed
"Because I couldn't go for 3"
