No. 2 Nebraska shuts out No. 4 West Virginia
Ole Miss suffers another late season collapse
-Morgantown, West Virginia
In a game that would most likely decide who would face Florida in the Tostito's Fiesta Bowl, Nebraska's defense was up to task and shut out the No. 4 Ranked Mountaineers. They went into halftime with the score 3-0 and Nebraska owned the ball in the second half.
Stringing together time consuming drives while the dream backfield of Judd Davies, Scott Frost, N. Tolomeo and Dane Todd took pitches and laterals from Joe Dailey and just ran all over the pourous and overrated West Virginia defense.
When the cornhuskers were on defense they lived up to their No. 1 national defensive ranking. Shutting down all of West Virginias play-action and wannabe option.
They completed 2 of 19 passes on the day and were held to 50 rushing yards.
Ole Miss entered into the final stretch of games at 8-2 but another late season collapse was looming. With two games remaining before the SEC Championship game alls he had to do was have LSU lose once or he could win one of his two games.
He lost his first game to LSU and then LSU went on to win their regular season finale, but Ole Miss managed to come back against Mississippi State and win the Egg Bowl. They will now face the No. 1 ranked Florida Gators in the SEC Championship game.
