its been the toughest week ever
and finals havent even started

One day after I was cutting grass at his house, I was informed that a life long friend of the family Auggie from Jancey Street in Morningside had passed away
He was in his 70s and I had known him my entire life from cutting his yard ever since I could push a mower to being in his living room with MaryLee and Zia Gracie (buone anamo) for the entire playoff run of the Penguins in 91-92, he taught me what it was to be a true Pittsburgh fan
On his recliner with his newspaper we could talk pittsburgh sports all day long
I never did get you that foul balled signed by Jason kendall, he got traded too soon, and I am sorry for it but I am glad to hear they put a ball and glove inside your casket
You would always start counting down for Santa Rocco in mid january and keep asking us if you were ready
I attended Auggies funeral on Saturday at St.Raphaels and then we went to the service at the italian cemetary where Auggie Villani will rest besides all the other italians

In between Auggie's passing and his burial I found out my dads first cousin Lisa who was in her 50's was sick of cancer and was not going to make it, she died later that week and I attended her viewing on Sunday night
Her family came from Canada, Florida and New York to be there, every visit up to their house me and my brothers would always have a good time while we sat in the living room while the parents were busy talking somewhere else
Lisa would always keep bringing out more and more food for us and when we left she would always apologize saying next time I'll have more stuff for you guys, I saw her many times at shop n save while I was working and her and domenic always took time to talk and ask about everyone,

after her viewing I rushed over to West Penn to see Pasquale, I dont know if it hurt more to see him in such pain or deb, emmy, jenny and jill having to go through so much, he lasted until monday night at 645, and went quietly and without pain thank god
We were all there for it,
Dad its son
like we would always used to say
I miss you already
Dont worry about Jill, ill take care of her
and
Jenny, and emmy, and Deb

I know he could hear us the entire 2 days he was in there, he acknowledged a few things but the rest he just took in, I know he found Joey already up there
While we reminisced stories about you I realized how much time I spent around you, from bullshitting on your deck in the back to talking about my truck in the driveway and criticizing all the neighbors, looking out the window to see what kathy was doing, taking surveys, wet moist dry, this house aint right, catholic family, huck finn, your huge glasses, riding the bike, whered they go out to eat tonight?, son!, va ting mutalaface, you talking german son?, bad no good, cheyenne and daryl the duck, cody he's a black lab his name is cody,

we took down your benches at around 1 in the morning with nothing but a crowbar and a hammer, when we skipped school we'd sit at home with you and order pizza, you named me and jill's guinea pig, you said virginia and it stuck, and when there was one roll of toilet paper in the entire house left, you draped it around your head and called yourself a towelhead

Resto di pace
Auggie
Lisa
Pasquale
