Nandez opens up an early lead as npoc, playing with one ankle is unable to play any defense. His jumpshot keeps the game close but everytime nandez pivots he has a full court breakaway. npocs size and power was easily trumped by the fresher legs and speed.

npocs ankle still remained at less than 25% healthy and nandez refused to miss a three-pointer, 2 late tre's sealed the deal but npoc gave us a glimpse of what he is capable of when healthy as he tears out a 6-0 run late in the game, but it was too little too late

a healthy npoc comes out and takes the game right to nandez, owning the paint, the perimeter, rebounding, steals and shooting. The long arms strip nandez of the ball countless times and he is unable to ever get his offense going, npoc ends the game with authority, throwing down a monster layup followed by a lap around the yard

The home team curse continues as nandez fumbles a 26-14 lead and watches as npoc goes on a 16-2 run to end the game on an incredible babyhook shot as paul watches on and screams "danny missed it" "he missed it" "it was wideopen"
The yelling was in reference to dannys potential game winning shot that ended up wide open after npocs ankle gave way, yet nandez was unable to close and npoc got the ball on a 14-2 tear, took 2 giant steps, went airborne, raised the arm and released the babyhook as it crawled in to even the series

With npoc calling the shots in game 5 he set the point total at 25 hoping his knees could last that long, in a game that will forever be known as the thrilla on conretezilla npoc and nandez changed leads 8 times before a crucial 7-2 run put nandez on match point up 24-23. He drove down the court poised to end the game, npoc goes for the behind the back steal and comes up short, nandez takes advantage and drives to the basket puts up an easy layup but watches helplessly as a storming npoc comes outta nowhere to swat it to the concretezilla, he chases the rebound, stays inbounds, then drives on nandez
nandez swats the ball away but it takes an awkward bounce into nandez's raised hands where npoc quickly punches it loose and somehow manages to get under the basket for an easy layup until a desperation shove by nandez pushes npoc under the basket and around the other side as he is fouled yet he manages to put up what will forever be known as "the loft" as it seemilgy froze in the air for a minute nandez watches in anguish as the ball swishes in as npoc tumbles into the landscaping, he then lets out a yell heard throughout the citylimits and on pure adrenaline alone, takes a victory lap around the house before collapsing in the gravel (ouch)

but wait, 3.0 seconds remained on the clock and nandez wasted no time driving in, turning back and lobbing up a close range shot that creeped around on the rim before falling out, he collapsed to the floor as npoc secured one of the biggest wins of his aging career
