29) Northern Illinois faces Akron in the Mac Championship game tonight. An Akron win would propel the Zips into the Tournament and eliminate Northern Illinois. It could effect a few rankings to as Akron would probably be the lowest ranked Division-1A team in the tourney at No. 31 right ahead of Northern Iowa.
NIU is a heavy favorite tonight though and we are the expecting the rankings to remain unchanged. Even if they do get upset, they still have an outside shot of sneaking into an at-large spot, possibly knocking out South Carolina or Iowa.
