The top is closer than you think. Brazils lead is shortening and England and Argentina are tough to separate as the top challengers. The Italy Germany tie at No. 4 should be broken today after Germanys second game. Spain’s masterful 4-0 win earlier this morning shot them up to No. 6 and they are being discussed as serious contenders. France plummets three spots even after a 0-0 draw but they should clearly still advance in their cake walk of a group. Croatia’s loss to Brazil only dropped them one spot while the Swiss tie against France had an opposite affect from their opponents, moving them up to the top 15. Ukraine’s embarrassing loss did not cost them as much, only falling one spot to No. 17. The bottom 12 all remain the same with the only teams yet to play No. 24 Tunisia and No. 30 Saudi Arabs.
Day 6
Fixtures and Results
Group H
Spain (-150) 4
Ukraine (+350) 0
Official helped dominance is the best way to describe this. Ukraine suffered a terrible loss, the referees probably only made it 4-0 instead of 2-0, there was no way Ukraine was winning this. But all the bookings including the red card and Svichenkos wobbly knee spell trouble for Ukraine but they are surely to escape this group. Look who else is in it....

Saudi Arabia (+380)
Even after Ukraines struggles, it is still going to be an uphill battle for either of these teams to advance in their group. Tunisia should not have a problem, expect a low scoring game.

Germany (-285)
Poland (+650)
Team leader Michael Ballack returns for Germany, but the offense is not where their troubles lie. Their four goal performance was just now matched by Spain, by the two goals given up to Costa Rica was cause for worry. Poland is bringing plenty of fans and I doubt they will go out in this World Cup so quietly after their very disapointing loss to Ecuador.
