Too early in a season to have a must win game for a coaching staff and a program? Absolutely not if you consider what is on the line when West Virginia travels to Colorado for their customary ESPN Thursday Night showdown. After a 24-3 loss that remarkably almost did as much destruction to the West Virginia program as the win did to benefit the ECU program, Bill Stewart is facing waning support from the fan base and is walking into a proverbial buzz saw with a Colorado program inching for a primetime game against a ranked opponent and a relatively new coaching staff looking for another marquee win.
Colorado and West Virginia were the only two teams in the country last season to beat arguably the best team in the country, Oklahoma. Both teams looked horrendous in their last game with Colorado atleast winning.
