Steelers-Ravens Game Highest Rate Game of Television Season
As CBS expected, the Steelers-Ravens telecast of the AFC Championship game Sunday night was the highest-rated television show on any network this fall season, dating back to Labor Day.
CBS officials today reported that the game attracted 40.64 million viewers, the most since last February's Super Bowl XLII.
Steelers-Ravens earned a 22.0 rating and a 34-percent share of the audience watching TV at the time. It peaked between 10 p.m. and 10:17 p.m., when 43.9 million viewers were tuned into the broadcast.

Ward Determined To Play In SuperBowl Tomlin Says
Hines Ward will do everything in his power to play in the Super Bowl despite a sprained right knee, coach Mike Tomlin said today. Ward was at the Steelers headquarters today rehabilitating his knee, which has an MCL sprain. Tomlin said the next week and a half won't be comfortable for him, but that they will "save a seat on the bus" for their star wide receiver. Also, running back Mewelde Moore and guard Darnell Stapleton have ankle sprains but should be fine for the game, and tackle Max Starks has a knee sprain but will play.
