Tech, Mob Movies, The Cable Man, Blogger Network
The Blogger Network has now expanded all the way to State College
And you thought nothing good ever came out of Penn State
The BN now stretches from WVU to Pitt to PSU
Anyone interested in joining, let me know
THE game is this week
WVU vs VTech
It'd be nice to win and all, but that's not what's important here
Mahntaneer field will be packed, they put no limit on the amount of standing room only tickets, so I'm looking to see 70,000+
Plus all the hokies coming from Tech
This is a chance for WVU to put ourselves back at #1 party school in the nation, #3 just does not cut it
If we do win I'll see you all at the fieldgoal posts
I guarantee they will come down
If we lose, I'll see you on Grant Street
The National Guard has been called in, but they can't even hope to contain us
Anybody in a 2 hour vicinity of morgantahn, if you see a close game around the 3rd quarter, you may wanna start making your way down to join in the biggest party of the 21st century
Just remember
West Virginia University
Where Greatness Is Learned
And Couches Are Burned
The Cable MAN Man man man man
I have almost no technical know how whatsoever
But as I proved last nite, If you stick me in a room with no cable for more than 5 minutes with world series baseball on, there will be cable when you get back
Greatest Mob Movies of All Time
Last weeks recap
#10)The Last Don series (I and II)
This weeks movie
#9)A Bronx Tale
The big names in here are DeNiro and Chazz Palminteri with an appearance by Joe Pesci
DeNiro not only stars in it, but also directs it and my favorite mob character of all time, Sonny, is played by Chazz Palminteri
The movie was released in 1993, the story takes place in the Bronx during the 1960's
Excellent movie about a young boy Calogero who comes of age during the movie and has to choose between his father or the neighborhood mob boss
Excellent scene where five Italians beat the hell out of 2 blacks riding through their neighborhoods on bikes
Calogero really bothers me throughout the movie though
For some reason he has to fall in love with a black girl, which is wrong to begin with, but coupled with the fact that she was no beyonce or halle
There was just no reason for making Calogero constantly side with the africans
He did not want to fight them and wanted to date the ugly ass black girl
He did call the girls brother a nigger to his face, which was pretty cool
But the whole african loving part of the movie dragged it all the way down to the #9 spot
Also, it is kind of tough to get over DeNiro playing the upstanding citizen not wanting anything to do with the mob, but he does a pretty good job of making it look believable
Joe Pescis appearances at the beginning and the very end of the movie guaranteed this a top 10 spot
#8 Greatest Mob Movie of All Time in tomorrows post...
