2 Day Country Fest
Monday, me maryjo jride and samueladams headed dahntahn for the regatta
We opened up the tailgate on the north shore with tubby and grilled up a storm, we were joined by a few groups of other young country revelers
A few from pine richland who we sold shots too and bargained with for beers and 2 chicks from unknown locations who brought some budlight
We all got pretty well off before we decided to head over the bridge and we met 3 guys and a girl in a jeep from imperial who we caught up with later at the regatta
Save a Horse Ride a Cowboy Contest
There our no arguing these facts, ask anybody in attendance and they will tell you this is exactly what happened
I rode jride on my back and the object was to cross the finish line first after going around the u shaped track
I was pretty drunk at this point and craig from imperial feeding me zimas and coors light was helping at all nor was the pepsi/everlcear concotion i was sipping out of a flannel shirt
I came outta the gate like a bat out of hell, there was no catching me
I was setting world records, I had left everyone in my dust and there was a secretariat style 32 length win upon us
I rounded the bend with no hesitation, the crowd came to their feet and watch in astonishment in what clearly was going to be one of the top 10 greatest athletic achievments in modern mankind
but then I fell
just completely toppled over just inches away from the finish line
The alcohol had caught up to me before any of my rivals could
I hit the point state park ground like a ton of bricks and i sent jride flying through the air to land on her head
The crowd was in shock, but I still had my dignity
I managed to dive across the finish line in first place as I lay sprawled out on the point state park lawn but with jride a good 4 feet behind the finish line still
15 seconds later the next closest team crossed the line and I lay kicking and thrashing my arms back and forth proclaiming myself as the champion
Unfortunately I was dq'ed and I went on to lead the entire place in a maryjo chant

We eventually made it over to the show
First we see christina burgunder win a trip to las vegas to see toby keith
then we hear billy currington tear up one hell of a set as we completely take over and get a huge circle of people line dancing
MJ required some firstaid and we took care of it, the rain started coming down pretty hard and some people left but we stayed and just moved up, we invaded the froggy tent and took every bumper stick and license plate in site

The signer/songwriter/piano player himself sent us all into a frenzy with six pack summer, carlene, this love, american child, thats when i love you and just another day in paradise
he played some songs that he wrote, im alright, my next 30 years and did a cover of you shook me all night long
An unbeilvable set, truly amazing, line dancing, zimas and coors light, breaking it down with the old heads, knocking over familys doing a grass angel in the middle of the lawn
Probly some other stuff unrecallable now
We hiked it back to the north shore and hung out on the watersteps then it was off to applebees

Tuesday was day 2 of country fest and we headed out to burgettstown
Tailgating of course and grilling with jride samuel adams and mj
grilled some onions and peppers too, travis jump started the oldsmobile next to us we had a random assortment of drinks and palma came down to meet us and joined the tailgate
we had a little run in on the way in but more on that in a later post
when we finally did get in we ran into mikeauge and damien, 2 people i wouild never expect to see at a country concert

They were both pretty gone as well as damiens mom and we watched the show with them on the lawn, the show which was stolen by big and rich
wild west show, the next great country song
but when you got as many damn songs as tim you cant put on a bad show
he even closed out with "the ride"
I sported the overalls, and only overalls, hazard county hat, rebel bandana, the cowboy hat and boots, the straps refused to stay up
samuel adams sports overalls as well with a john deere tanktop and bandana
great show, and a great 2 days of country fest

Eh, Shop n Slave, not much going on there, my 2 year anniversary went by without much fanfare and I coudlnt even get those old bags in the bakery to make me a freakin cupcake but im workin on gettin smitty and brad to bring back the employee sandwhich in the deli
but while wrangling carts I did see 2 of the greatest bumper stickers of all time

Im still not over it and I may never be, it is good to hear that both denmark and sweden have been eliminated early on and greece went on to defeat host country portugal in the euro2004 finals giving Greece their first national title in anything

Fantasy Baseball
Colonel Rebel has been predicted as the #2 team in his WVU fantasy baseball league and the only team that he is behind is the one that came up with the rankings so basically I have the best team
current record 16-4
my starting pitching is ridic with Curt Schilling, Mulder, Clement, Benson and Jason Scmidt
Im taking it all this year

I bought some chevy decals for Travis, a dukes of hazzard shirt, a belt buckle and I am currently in the bidding for some floormats and a 1997 chevy s10
I hope I dont win cause I accidently bid up to 12,000
