WVU vs Maryland Post-Game Notes
-Morgantahn, WV
In the greatest contested college football game I have ever witnessed, West Virginia ended a four year losing streak to Maryland by winning 19-16 in overtime in front of a sold out Mountaineer Field crowd and propelled themselves into the BCS Chase

BCS Officials cringed at the results, knowing that their nightmare was upon them and that WVU could possibly run the table and end the year with the weakest schedule around but the best record

I was on the lower level about 15 rows back right in front of the night staff and right behind the keg staff, the crowd was rowdy as hell during the game and the entire section was on their feet the entire game

Chris and Barto from NOVA attended the game along with crazy matt who came down around the fourth quater after sitting in the upper deck
The players and coaches stayed on the field after the game longer than their offense spent most of the time during their drives
Brad Paisley led the crowd in two renditions of country roads and the players came by and high fived and thanked the student section

"I saw Henry catch the ball and I just ran over to section 110(student section)"

And best of all the game was only decided by three points so WVU did not cover the spread and I walked away with a decent payout

Chris put on an incredible show off of the front porch, upper level porch and the back deck and then the yard went up in flames causing nest to leave his own party not once but twice
Householders police scanner came in handy and the barstool created the largest inferno in Sunnyside

ShalerFest Part II
In terms of amount of people it did not match last years Shaler fest but in terms of randomness and unexpectedness it blew it out
The evening started Mouse and PQT coming out of nowhere, then I received a phone call from stopiak saying he just ran into someone I knew
The chances of this kid running into Stopiak and asking him if he knew me were 1 in over 1000
It was Joe McDonald, who I havent seen in a year, he brought over some arn city cottles
Foreman and nest eventually returned back from house party hunting just in time to see the random arrival of Ashley Kane at 2 in the morning
3 other shaler kids that I only recognized one as Barret Reese arrived around 230
There was a card game inside, firework show outside, and grilling burgers at 4am
Householder kept stoppin up and Stopiak was dealing down the street
Barto and Chris owned the pong table until they were finally defeated by me and JoeyMac
An incredible football game followed by an incredible night

The recruiting process has begun as nest will look to defend his 2005 title with WVU. His recruiting class looks solid as does Nebraskas. The shock may be with Ole Miss, who despite losing alot of players has brought in 2 Elite 11 quaterbacks along with a plethora of blue chip prospects that can contribute immediately
And with that shitty team they are going to have to
Look for a huge showdown when nest finally faces stopiak and ole miss vs wvu finally takes place, should be a classic
The preseason polls will be released shortly and WVU once again looks like a top 5 contender
