npocs biggest day of all time in the NFL yesterday, the stillers made it close, but was there any doubt they would get that safety to cover the points, and in college I won over 50% but I dropped my 2 biggys but fortunately I also dropped my 2 1*'s so I got everything in between to turn a minor profit

The Best of Dave Berry
Thanksgiving is that very special holiday when we take a break from our hectic everyday lives to spend quality time with loved ones, rediscovering all the reasons we don't actually live with them.
But Thanksgiving is also a spiritual time of quiet reflection-- a time when we pause to remember as generations have remembered before us, that an improperly cooked turkey is -- in the words of the U.S. Department of Agriculture -- "a ticking meat bomb of death."
Yes, it is a tragic but a statistical fact that ever Thanksgiving, undercooked turkeys claim the lives of an estimated 53 billion Americans (source:Dan Rather). Sometimes the cause is deadly bacteria; sometimes -- in cases of extreme undercooking-- the turkey actually springs up from the carving platter and pecks the would-be carver to death.
The only way to be sure you've killed all the bacteria in your turkey is to cook it until a meat thermometer inserted into the breast melts, indicating that the turkey has attained the same internal temperature as the sun.
"Basically" advises the Surgeon General, "you want to be serving your family a 16-pound briquette." Even then you should keep a flamethrower handy.
Speaking of which: The "hot" new Thanksgiving culinary trend is to cook turkeys in big deep-fat-fryers, which are hugely popular because they give guys an excuse to spend Thanksgiving outside drinking beer and messing around with a device that could potentially destroy an entire neighborhood.
Now that guys have decided to become seriously involved in Thanksgiving food preparation, its only a matter of time before they come up with a recipe to mashed pototoes that involves a grenade launcher.
Chris Henry Suspended
The news broke this morning, even though there has not been class since Friday that Chris Henry is not fullfilling the student part of student-athlete
By the far the most talented player on the team will sit out the Backyard Brawl, he has been the go-to-guy that gives the offense the spark it needs when they are struggling, which is just about always
Third-and longs, overtime game-winners, in the back of the endzone, its Henry and WVU will be without him because (like most west virginia students) he was absent from classes.
Probably a lot of them, and he may have played his last game as a Mountaineer because I am sure a temper tantrum is going to follow this and he'll find his way into trouble in Jacksonville or Charlotte or even Amish Country, thats all he knows, is to be self-ish, waste his talent, hurt his team and act as old as his number 5
A true waste of talent, Chris Henry
Goodluck in the NFL...Europe
WVU is still a 4 point favorite over Pitt, that could change however, but I doubt it will drop below a fieldgoal
2004 "Smoking a" Turkey Bowl
The draft is set for Tuesday night, and gametime 9 a.m. on Anderson Field
Sheller Area PowderPuff Classic
Jennifer Rizzo leads the senior defense against the much smaller but quicker junior team, look out for the chick in yellow playin OLB
Mountaineer Basketball
at Dukane Dukes Wednesday Night at 7:05 p.m in the AJ Palumbo Center
Dukane started off the season looking great but they struggled in their home opener this weekend, it will be interesting to see which team shows up but either way im taking WVU and Ill set my own point spread at 4.5
Super Saturday
Heyinz Filled was once again the showcase of premier high school football talent last Saturday as an the no.5 player in the country was shownup by a less recruited and smaller running back in the Quad AAAA final. npoc predicted 3 of 4 games, the only game he got wrong was the AA game as Bill Stall proved that he is the next great Western PA Quarterback, look out for this kid in 2 or 3 years.
I now predict ALL the WPIAL Champions to advance to the state finals and for Central, Seton La-Salle, and Thomas Jefferson to win the states and Central should finish the season as the No. 1 team in the nation
Big Ben vs Eli
The consensus among draft gurus was that Big Ben's potential far exceeded that of Rivers and Manning in the draft but the Giants were looking for somebody now and somebody with a great pedigree in a major conference, so they landed Manning
Manning lost his first start ever yesterday to the 7-2 Falcons, he has already lost more games than Big Ben even though, Roethlisberger has been starting since Week 3.
Big Ben is perfect even when he has a terrible day as he did against the Bungles, his team was down he was getting sacked, he didnt have Plax and Hines Ward has being double and triple covered, so without panicking he led his team down the field in the fourth quarter using his fullbacks and tight ends and scrambling to take the 17-14 lead and then on 3rd and 3 with a chance to end the game he took a naked bootleg for the first down and seal the deal. Big Ben is 8-0 defeating, a 6-0 and 7-0 along the way outperforming Manning, JP Losman and Heisman Trophy Winner, Carson Palmer.
