The Quest for 100, Italian Politics, Biggest Mafia News in 35 Years

-Morgantown

Before we update our quest for 100, Italy has jumped all over the front pages
First it appears that Italy is basically split in half in a way that hasn't been seen since the civil war here in the states. Silvio Berlusconi looks to have lost the election to Mr. Prodi by 0.001% of the nations 38 million votes.
This blog is for Berlusconi because he once argued to a French official to put the European Union commission for food safety in Italy because it has better food. He then insulted the French official by saying that he did not even know what prosciutto is.

Sicilian Mafia 'Boss of Bosses' Captured in Corleone After 48 Year Hunt
It is not often that an insanley close presidential election does not garner a countries top headlines. Well this story is 43 years in the making as Bernardo Provenzano, who practically owned Sicily was finally found in his farmhouse.

He lived in the hill top Sicilian town made famous from The Godfather. In real life, Corlenone spawned a vicious Mafia family, currently led by Mr. Provenzano, that dominated organized crime on the island for decades, leaving a trail of blood in murdered prosecutors, reporters and investigators.

Mr. Provenzano's ability to outwit investigators for 43 years became legendary, but it also became a lingering symbol for many Italians of the state's inability to eradicate the Mafia.

We Will
Lose 100 Games

Game 8
Loss 1-7
Home opener be damned, the Pirates were embarassed 8-3 by the Dodgers sending them into their worst start in 37 years. Its really a bad situation we have brewing here.

Game 9
Win 2-7
Bust out the Gilette im shaving, as I have no vowed to only shave after the Pirates win. The lumber company was there but this Dodger team is very bad. The Pirates really lucked out as they get to avoid both Penny and Weaver in this four game set.

Game 10
Win 3-7
Good god in the goosebasket, raiiiiiiise the jolly roger and there was noooooo doubt about it. Clearly, the buccos have won two in a row, the lumber company is out, 3 out of 4 a chance to take a series from the Dodgers, split the stats any way you want it the battling buccos are still 3-7 and well on pace to lose 100 games.

Game 11
Loss 3-8
This is more like it. Perez got blown up, the lumber company was wearing blue, the jolly roger is at half staff after this terrible 13-5 shellacking.

Odds of losing 100 games: 72%
On pace to be: 44-118

CBS Sporstline Power Rankings
They are not the worst team in baseball, but they are off to the worst start and are the only sixth-place team. There will be growing pains with that young rotation, and that was made blatantly clear in Week 1.
