The Quests For 100

As Sidney Crosby chases the Calder Cup and 100 points we continue to follow the sad saga of the battlin buccos pursuit for 100 losses. Crosby whiffed in his last game and now only has 2 remaining games to capture the feat and be the youngest player ever to do so.
The Pirates meanwhile have been going along right on pace if not better and have plenty of games still to reach their plateu.

As much as Lanny Frattare and Greg Brown and pittsburghpirates.com try to put a positive spin on this season theres no hope. The atmosphere at PBC park during home games is dismal, the attendance is terrible, the players have packed it up already, YOU ARE A FUCKING JACKASS if you spend money on a ticket for the purpose of watching that team.

I have been encouraging everyone to vote at www.post-gazette.com/sports in the pirates poll. The current question is "Are the Pirates Problems Correctable?"
As of this post "Its Hopeless" is leading the way and as it damn well should be. I need everyone to keep voting for its hopeless.

On to the games
Game 12
Loss
Cubs 11-6
The cubs fans provided the homefield advantage for them and Pirate fans cant even muster 30,000 for a Friday night game with a hat giveaway. This is beyond dismal, the no shows are incredible, the announced attedance is laughable, tickets are being scalped for less than a dollar outside the park.

Game 13
Win
Pirates 2-1
Duke or Die, this gives me pause for caution with my 100 loss estimate, the way Duke is pitching scares me. Of course the bucco bats died down but with Duke like this it doesnt matter. Casey goes down for 6-8 weeks likely to turn to 3-4 months, why would you be in a hurry to come back to this team. That helps my cause alot even though Craig Wilsons hot bat will get back in the lineup, he is terrible and it is sure to cool off soon.

Game 14
Loss
Cubs 7-3
Ian Snell lobbed up beach balls in the first inning then retired 14 straight then lobbed up some more in the 6th inning. Craig Wilson went deep again, so his cold spell is sure to start on Monday. The fans turned out in record numbers, estimates from most in attendance were less than 6,000 while I say there were more workers than pirate fans there and obviously more people at the St.Bonaventure 10:30 mass.

Odds of losing 100 games: 73%
On pace to be: 46-116

NL central
Only one game seperates first from fifth place in the NL central which is insane at this time of the season. Too bad the Central has six teams, the buccos are 5 games out, more games behind than the rest of the division combined.

The Worst of the Worst
Chris Duffy .178
Humberto Cota .172

Ryan Vogelsong 10.57 ERA
Ian Snell 9.00 ERA
Oliver Perez 8.10 ERA
Paul Ma hall em if you got them 7.70 ERA
Starters 2-6

A baseball rarity: The Pirates have two players in the top 80 for all-time strikeouts: Jose Hernandez has 1,353 and ranks 69th. Burnitz has 1,317 -- 15 already this season -- and ranks 80th

Upcoming series
3 with the Cardinals
Prediciton 0-3
I am perfect with my predicitons, hitting all three past series exactly
