Back the BCS Busters
By Nicholas Tolomeo
DocSports.com

A very solid trend emerged as I researched the past BCS busters. Of course ECU loses outright the week that I write the story but Utah, Boise State and TCU all covered and remain potential flies in the BCS ointment (sp?).

Way tooo early BCS Bowl Projections

National Championship
USC vs Wisconsin

USC is just steamrolling team and Wisconsin has snuck into the top ten very quietly. The only real tests in Big Ten action are at home against Ohio State and Penn State. If they can get by the pesky 1-2 Wolverines, Wisconsin has to be the favorite to run the table

Fiesta Bowl
Missouri vs BYU

That could easily be Utah in BYU's place depending on who wins the season finale in what amounts basically to a Mountain West Conference title game

Sugar Bowl
LSU vs Oklahoma

I am not sure if this makes sense for Oklahoma to end up here but I'm not sure where else they would go. Notre Dame will be hard pressed to reach nine wins this season after the Michigan State loss and does anyone really want to see them get throttled again in a BCS game? Well the answer is probably a resounding yes but still. Look for Oklahoma to not even make the Big XII title game but then backdoor their way into the Sugar Bowl where thankfully for them the runaway beer truck will not be waiting.

I want Alabama in this spot really bad but their schedule is hard even for an SEC team having to go at LSU and Georgia coming up.

Orange Bowl
Wake Forest vs West Virginia

I have predicted WVU to lose, not cover the spread and said they will not be very good this year but this is not a homer pick. I simply do not see any team beating them in Morgantown this year unless God grants South Florida another fucking 80 degree day in December. It will not happen this year. WVU is still tied for first in the Big East with everyone else besides Syracuse who I havae un officially relegated to NAIA status.
WVU will favored in all remaining Big East games IMO except possibly Louisville. This could be a year with co-champions though and that does not bode well for WVU who will have a piss poor BCS ranking.

Clemson has to go AT Wake Forest, so I give them the edge in winning the ACC Atlantic and playing in front of friends and family and empty seats in Jacksonville for the ACC title against probably Virginia Tech

Rose Bowl
Penn State vs Florida

Still trying to figure out why they ever agreed to the BCS the Rose Bowl will watch as two teams that were meant to play in Pasadena in the ROSE BOWL will play in a game called the national championship game. Nearly every year since its inception either a Big Ten team (Ohio State) or Pac-10 team (USC) was involved in the national title game. So the Rose Bowl will have always been relevant. Now it is rarely no matter how hard ESPN trys to convince you otherwise.
They will grab the biggest name out there and I suspect that to be Florida and then a Big Ten team so tehy can say they are sticking to tradition. They would probably pick Arizona State or whomever the second place Pac-10 team was if BCS restrictions did not tell them otherwise.

My revised Top 30ish rankings will be due out on Wednesday

Syndo gave me a good idea that I will probably steal from him then edit this blog post so there is no record that I stole it from him. He said lets create a BCS for football, factoring in strength of schedule, ESPNs power rankings, conference strength and other such factors and see how it plays out. This could either legitimize the BCS perhaps if it spits out two good teams at the end of the year or prove it to be entirely obsolete when the Dolphins and 49ers are set for a rematch of Super XIX in February.

The Office
Season One

Episode Four
"The Alliance"

Jim Halpert:Very impressive, the, uh, donation you gave to Oscar's charity. What was that? Twenty-five bucks?
Michael Scott:Well you know. Money isn't everything, Jim. Not the key to happiness. You know what is? Joy. You should remember that. Maybe you can give more than three dollars the next time.
Jim:Yeah, well three dollars a mile is going to end up being like fifty bucks. So, God, I can't even calculate what you're gonna have to give.
[long pause]
Michael Scott:Is Oscar around?

Michael Scott:Your nephew... He in good shape?
Oscar:Yeah.
Michael Scott:How many miles did he do last year?
Oscar:Last year he walked 18 miles.
Michael Scott:Son of a bitch. [covering] That is impressive. Good for him.
