I am now 10-1-1 on my 3*** picks, just absolutely ridic
The 6th Annual Thanksgiving Day Smoking A Turkey Bowl VI
The Mount Royal Untouchables (4 Turkey Bowl Championships)
vs
The Colony Oaks Stone Balls (1 Turkey Bowl Championship)
9:03 a.m. Anderson Filled
The Sixth annual Smoking a Turkey Bowl will eminate from the muck and the mire that is Anderson Filled at 9:03 a.m. Thursday morning. Good seats still remain until the old heads invade with their Pabst Blue Ribbon and shout vulgarities at members of the Stone Balls.
Jefrie Funtal, defending MVP leads the Untouchables into action as multi-purpose running back, wide receiver and defensive pass rusher.
The recurring theme of this years game, is people getting older, and not in a good way. Perenial power runner, Ross Hatherill of the Stone Balls was unable to receive clearance from his doctor and will have to sit out, this will be the first Turkey Bowl he misses since Turkey Bowl III.
Tony Borress still remains on the injured-list from a hit he received in last seasons spectacle, however the maddog has postponed rotatorcuff surgery until Friday, because "I gotta play in the Turkey Bowl."
Star quarterback Mike Shebatich, is questionable for the game with a sprained ankle, but he is one of only two people on the entire roster that can throw a ball more than 10 yards with a spiral.
JimmyWayne "Raising" Hellche is in perfect health but like many years that is sure to change almost immediately, JimmyWayne is a two time winner of the bad ass award for the multiple injurys he has sustained during previous games.
Jason Ritter of the Stone Balls is back and heavier than ever, he has been in training ever since that bitter defeat at the hands of the Untouchables last season. He will look to pick up where he left out, battling the Untouchables Kyle Tobias in a duel of the big men. Ritter has some large shoes to fill, those of fullback Ross Hatherill.
When Stone Balls captain Paolo Tolomeo was asked what happened last season he simply replied, "little macel" and anybody looking at the stat sheet would be hard pressed to disagree. Macels various attempts at quarterbacking the team led to the ball falling into the oppositions hands and his attempts of pumping the team up with a pregame speech fell on deaf ears. His brother Ryan will look to fill in for Lankewitz in quarterback when necessary for Mount Royal.
The Baileys were both MIA last year with flu like symptons but this year they will look to even things out a bit as they are both headed to the Stone Balls. However a last second move could change all of that because it is Turkey Bowl Tradition to seperate families.
Monteleone and Shebotich are the major question marks surrounding this game.
However the wildcards are Tony Larkin and the King of Etna, Jason Donley, newly added players to the roster, their official whereabouts will be known later tonight when Paolo and Jefrie finalize the rosters.
The stage is set for Smoking a Turkey Bowl VI, will Mount Royal win an unprecendented third consecutive Turkey Bowl or will Paolo orchestrate his rag tag group of Stone Balls into a champion and bring the Trophy back to Colony Oaks.
A new chapter will be writtern Thursday, in the muck and the mire.
Official rosters will be posted this evening, check back for your uniform assignment and the official rules bulletin.
