Just back from Detroit
Allow me to start my coverage with some of the best quotes found around the web:

Fans can do what they want. But, I was a little dismayed that the WVU fans cheered the Bradley intro's and cheered for them to the very end. There were a few anti Pitt signs even. They truly hate us.

I would like to root for my fellow BE brethren, but the Hoopie fans are so f-in obnoxious that I hope they get knocked out next round.

AUBURN HILLS, Mich. – West Virginia built a big first half lead and overcame some cold second-half shooting to knock off upset-minded Northwestern State 67-54 in an NCAA tournament second-round game at The Palace in Auburn Hills, Mich., to advance to the NCAA “Sweet 16” for the second consecutive year.

Only 2 BCS winning schools are in the Sweet 16, Texas and WVU....early line is Texas -5.5 and game time is 9:45 pm Thursday....Funny thing is last time I was in atlanta I saw LSU take on an ACC team and WVU play, now LSU is playing DUKE from the ACC and WVU is back in the Georgia Dome once again

Proposed signs:
Couches
Being
Scorched

Constantly
Burning
Sofas

Cant
Beat
Snoggle

What did make it on tv was a sign that said
Cinderellas
Been
Snoggled

This report in from the airport:
Although it was cold outside, the warmth of the WVU spirit was glowing at the Bridgeport-Clarksburg airport tonight when the WVU basketball team landed. Coach B. talked to the fans and asked if any were nervous during the game. He admitted that he was. They left about 9:55 and should be in Mo-town around 10:30.Coach said everyone was tired and had to get up for classes tomorrow, but several took time to shake hands and sign a few autographs, especially for the kids that were there. What a classy team!

AUBURN HILLS, Mich. (AP) -- Jerry West's teams have company in the West Virginia record book.
Kevin Pittsnogle scored 14 points to lead the sixth-seeded Mountaineers to a 67-54 victory over 14th-seeded Northwestern State in the second round of the NCAA Tournament Sunday.
West Virginia has won two games in consecutive NCAAs for the first time since the famed West, whose silhouette graces the NBA's logo, led it to the title game in 1959 and a regional semifinal the next year.

West Virginia put Northwestern State, which had 24 turnovers, in a hole it couldn't get out of.
The Mountaineers went on a 16-3 run early in the game to take an 11-point lead thanks to a mix of their 1-3-1 zone and man-to-man defense, crisp passing and jumpers West would've been proud of.
